Introduction to the Automation Operating Model

The Introduction to Automation Operating Model course helps users who are interested in scaling their automation programs through the use of an AOM (Automation Operating Model). You will be taught the benefits of setting up an Automation Operating Model and how to use it to build and scale RPA programs. You’ll learn the components and key processes of AOM, as well as automation scaling best practices.  

This is a beginner course aimed at users first starting out with an AOM. The course takes 1 hour 30 minutes to complete. At the end, you’ll receive a diploma of completion.  

There are no specific courses you need to have taken to enroll in the Automation Operating Model course. However, while this is a beginner's introduction to AOM, you will need basic Robotic Process Automation knowledge. If you’re new to automation, we recommend beginning with the Introduction to RPA and Automation course. 

This course is aimed at Automation Center of Excellence members, Business users and executives, or IT individuals responsible for the strategy, implementation, or the operations of an automation program.

• Explain what an Automation Program Charter is. 

• Explain what an Interaction Model is. 

• Define the characteristics of each of the 6 key processes of AOM. 

• Explain the steps required to build an Implementation Plan towards operationalizing the AOM. 

• Discuss the factors to focus on as the automation program reaches steady-state. 

• Exemplify best practices in building and scaling RPA.
